Consult Eva May
You've Landed in the Right Place
Something brought you here. A question that won't leave you alone. A loss you're carrying. An experience you can't explain and can't forget. Or simply the feeling that there's more to your life than you're currently living, and you'd like someone to help you find it.
Whichever it is, you're in the right place, and you deserve to know why I'm the woman to say so. I'm Eva May: the Wisewoman of Wiltshire, the Good Witch, the Sequinned Psychic, depending on where you met me. What follows isn't really my life story. It's the answer to the question you're actually asking: "Can she help me?"
If You've Experienced Things You Can't Explain
Perhaps you've sensed a presence. Dreamt something that came true. Felt a loved one near you after they'd gone, and never told a soul in case someone laughed.
You can tell me. I've been where you are since childhood: convinced I could fly at six, having what I now know were out-of-body experiences before I had words for them, and permanently changed by an illicit Ouija board at Brownie camp, where every other little girl squealed and I sat electrified, understanding for the first time that the door I'd always sensed truly opened. I've spent more than half a century learning what's on the other side of it. Whatever you've experienced, it will not seem strange to me, and you will not be laughed at. In this company, you're the normal one.
If Life Has Knocked You Sideways
Maybe you're grieving. Maybe everything has collapsed at once and you're wondering how on earth people rebuild. I want you to know exactly who you'd be talking to.
I've known abundance and scarcity, success and failure, and more reinventions than I can count. When my mother died suddenly, I was too proud to ask for help, and for a while I lived on the half-eaten food left in her fridge, because that's what there was. So when you sit across from me in pieces, you are not confiding in a woman who read about the dark night of the soul in a book. I've lived in that house. I know where the light switches are, and I'll walk you to them.
And if you're wondering whether it's too late for your life to change: I once dreamed of running away to the circus, and it took me decades to see I never needed to. Life is the grand circus, and I'm its ringmaster now. There is always another act.
If You Want Someone Who's Actually Lived
There are plenty of twenty-something tarot readers on the internet. What you may be looking for is something older.
Every village once had a Wisewoman: the one people came to for guidance, healing, a bit of magic, and the truth when nobody else would say it. She was always the Crone, the one who had lived long enough to actually know things, and that is precisely what you get with me. I'm sixty-eight years young, with over fifty of those years spent reading palms, cards, tea leaves and people. Every one of those years is now yours: time served, in your service. There is no substitute for it, and no shortcut to it.
Am I a witch? If I am, I'm a good one. And I'm on your side.
If You're Afraid of Being Taken In
You should be careful. This world has plenty of people who'll fake a connection to take your money, especially from the grieving, and you're wise to be wary. Here's your protection.
I hold a gold star membership of the Inner Magic Circle, which means the home of British magic itself recognises that I know exactly how these things are faked. I'm also a qualified hypnotherapist, the founder of the Séance Society of Great Britain, and a celebrant with the rare privilege of performing ceremonies within the stones at Stonehenge and at The Magic Circle in London. But that gold star is the credential that matters most to you: when I tell you something is real, you're hearing it from someone who knows precisely what fake looks like. And when I can't reach something, I'll tell you so, plainly. Your trust is worth more to me than a comfortable lie.
Wherever You Are
I'm based in mystical Wiltshire, within sight of landscapes older than memory, and I work worldwide via Zoom, because spirit has never much cared about geography. Whether you're down the road or across an ocean, the kettle is, in every sense that matters, on.
And yes: despite the Witchcraft Act of 1735 being repealed in 1951, I'm still legally obliged to tell you that all readings are for entertainment purposes only. I find this endlessly funny, and I comply with a curtsey.
So: Shall We Begin?
Your question is welcome here. So is your grief, your hope, your strangest experience, and your scepticism. Bring the lot. You've found the right place; the only thing missing now is you.
